Roma, 9 mar. (askanews) – Following a conversation between European Commission’s President Ursula von der Leyen and US President Joe Biden, the EU and the USA have agreed to suspend their respective tariffs imposed in the Airbus-Boeing disputes, both on aircraft and other products, for an initial period of 4 months. The EU and the USA have also committed to working together towards a final resolution of this dispute.
Italy expresses great satisfaction for this positive development, towards which it has consistently strived, both within the EU and in its contacts with the USA, also considering the fact that, although not a partner in the Airbus consortium, it has nevertheless been negatively affected by the tariffs, in terms of exports of the companies operating in key Made in Italy brand sectors.
